Here’s the question – How can you bring more creativity, humour and fun into your business or life?
Results are important – whether that means a happier life, or more income and profit in our work or business. But the key is what we do and how our actions impact on those around us (family, friends, clients, colleagues and contacts). What we do, what we say and how we behave affects those around us – whether these things are done consciously or subconsciously, and whether the people around us pick these “signals” consciously or subconsciously.
I believe we are all capable of being far more creative than we usually are. Our creative potential is great, but often we only use a fraction of this potential; we often just do what we have always done, and do it the way we have always done it. There is scope to do things differently and better if we are prepared to stop and put in a little fresh effort. This is an approach I often suggest to my clients.
We all like to be around those with a good sense of humour. It is good to share in that humour: it builds rapport … and it makes life more fun. Of course we all know that sometimes having fun can distract us from what we are trying to get done. But in this instance I am talking about having fun in order to get the task done; perhaps more effectively, but certainly to make the journey towards successfully completing that task more enjoyable. Having fun can help us be more productive and enjoy each moment more.
So my final question is: Are you prepared to try doing things a little differently whilst still being the authentic you?
Of course having a partner, like a coach who is dedicated to your success can help you be more creative, use humour and have more fun!
